In 2003, the Aerio was redesigned for the US market. These changes cannot be called a full-fledged restyling. features of the American market, the model received a more powerful 2.3-liter engine instead of a 2-liter one. The basic equipment has also changed; in the basic version, side airbags and external frontal airbags were already available. We also worked on active safety. The car received updated ABS and EBD.
This model was not very popular in the American market. Low ground clearance and a not very thoughtful exterior scared off buyers.
